Roof Racks for Jeep Wrangler

There are many roof rack options for the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited equipped with a fiberglass hardtop. Selecting a rack varies on the type of gear needing to be transported, weight of gear, ability to remove Freedom Panels, and desire to drill into hardtop.  Below is a quick overview of the various rack options for the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, also known as a JK or JKU.  Models equipped with a soft top see External "Cage" Frame racks.

Rain Gutters - Quickest attachment/removal without drilling into fiberglass top. Mounts to both the front and rear Freedom Panels.

Fixed Point - Custom install that requires drilling into back half of fiberglass top. Bars will be in a permanent location. Front Freedom Panels can be removed with rack attached.

Tracks - Custom install that requires drilling into back half of fiberglass top. Allows for crossbars to be adjusted for various length gear. Front Freedom Panels can be removed with rack attached.

Internal Support Frame - Requires drilling into back half of fiberglass top. Steel support frame attaches to interior of hard top and connects to the vehicle body for support. Front Freedom Panels can be removed with rack attached.
