The Thule 963XTR - Spare Me is a great bike rack solution for vehicles with a rear hatch mounted spare tire.  Adapts to center mounted spare tires or left or right of center. After the initial installation of the adapter plate the main rack is easily installed and removed with a locking screw knob. Hang up to two bikes on the carrier arms and attach securely with the T3 cradles.  Thule 955 - No-Sway Cages are included to further stabilize the bicycles and help prevent sway.  Adapts to carry skis and snow boards with Thule 987xt - Hitch Ski Carrier, sold separately. This rack does not work on every rear mounted spare tire, please verify the fit to your vehicle using the Thule Fit Guide.  This new "XTR" version includes a 5 foot security cable to lock the bicycles to the rack or spare tire, the cable is key matched to the locking knob which locks the carrier to the spare.
