The Thule 599XTR Big Mouth roof mount bike carriers has a big mouth but is one big mouth that's easy to get along with. The Big Mouth transports a bike upright with both wheels on and holds the bicycle frame's downtube.  A strong tubular steel arm assembly lifts up to hold the frame with a grippy rubber mouth.  An easy to reach handle adjusts to grip a wide range of downtubes from thin to oversized.  The handle is lockable with a Thule Lock Cylinder which is sold separately.  The bicycle wheels are supported in a tray that accommodates tires from thin road bike sizes to mountain bike tire sizes up to 2.3 inches wide.  The included mounting hardware will attach the Big Mouth to Thule square load bars.  The Xadapt2 is required to mount the Big Mouth to Thule's AeroBlade load bars.
