The Thule 487 - Traverse Short Roof Adapter enables attachment of the Thule Traverse roof rack to vehicles with short or very curved roof lines.  This adapter is compatible with the Thule standard 480 Traverse Foot and the 480R Rapid Traverse Foot.  The adapter works by allowing the rear load bar and feet to be positioned on the roof without a attachment bracket.  The bracket is attached to the adapter bar and into the door frame.  The Traverse Short Roof Adapter can be locked and locks are available separately.
