Of all the safari style roof top cargo racks the Yakima Warrior basket is tops. Available in two sizes the standard sized LoadWarrior and the large size, the MegaWarrior. Still not enough space? Both can be split apart in the middle and extensions can be added, much like a dining room table leaf. The rack is designed in two halves so that it can be separated and an extension can be added. The two halves slide and screw together easily and makes for a very strong and ridged rack. Assembly is straight forward, directions are clear and easy to follow. The front wind fairing is held in place with Yakima's standard Round SnapArounds and it can flip down out of the way when you need to transport long loads on the flooring. The front and rear cross members are actually the same diameter as standard Yakima RoundBars and the full range of Yakima accessories attach directly to these cross members. Yakima offers several accessories specifically for the Warrior baskets, Light Brackets, Spare Tire Carrier, Axe/Shovel Bracket, custom Stretch nets and weather resistant luggage packs. The construction quality is excellent, paint finish is very durable. The attachment hardware is easy to use, and attaches to Yakima RoundBars but it also attaches directly to most factory cross bars including extra thick cross bars if you purchase some extra long bolts.
