25 years ago Yakima offered one tower design, the 1A Tower, and it served them well for many years. Now as auto manufacturers progress with new roof designs year after year Yakima keeps pace with new tower designs. Yakima Q Towers are commonly found on sedans and trucks, Yakima Control Towers fit many factory direct applications and some custom fits. There are also fit for the variety of factory installed side rails such as the Yakima LowRider, LowRider MAX and the EZ Rider. We're not likely to see a slow down in design changes so it's a good thing Yakima engineers are on top of their game.
